What differentiates Oracle Primavera from other similar products?

actually it is unique product and absence of competition does not allow to see alternative opinion, some big companies like SaudiAramco created there own similar systems but it has very narrow use.

at this stage only planning tools

very complex system, to solve some of the simple problems you shall spend time in YouTube

train your personnel in advance and purchase training hours for the team

What differentiates Oracle Primavera from other similar products?

Primavera stands out from other similar products in terms of the features it offers. I have learnt primavera by myself through Learning and Training videos by Oracle Learning website / YouTube channel. I would say that is also one of the thing I like the most. because , whenever I want to know /recollect what I have earnt, It is always recommended to go to oracle learning that gives the updated information about the product and how to use its new features. I would like to appreciate the Earned value management feature in Oracle P6 Primavera which is giving the most accurate metrics about the ongoing project.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The favorite aspect about Oracle P6 Primavera is, this is the only complete Project management software for an Heavy Asset/Capital Construction projects. The above statement is due to the below reasons: Earned value management, Resource Planning, Resource allocation ,and resource histogram.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Oracle P6 mobile application has very limited features. It would be better if project tracking and controlling features are also incorporated in primavera mobile application. Earned value management metrics are required by Project managers in their mobiles. This is the what I think is the gap that to be taken cared of.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend Primavera for Project Planners for preparation of the detailed schedule with appropriate resources allocation. Also, I would recommend users to make use of Earned value management features for tracking Physical and Financial Project Progress.

What differentiates Oracle Primavera from other similar products?

Primavera is the best schedule management tool, and it is unique from other similar applications with the high reliability of the results we get, and the results are considered very accurate, especially with regard to calculating delays and completion rates. I do not think that there is a better one for scheduling projects, regardless of the number of activities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Lots of things I like about Primavera, especially the way the WBS is set up for the project, where Primavera gives you access to numerical sublevels, and I also like how you can filter them and treat each one independently. I also like the way resources are listed as well as activity values and Earned Value. I like Primavera because it is tamper-protected, so you can easily detect that the update on the Baseline schedule has been modified or not. I also love the possibility of cloud storage and sharing with team members.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I've spent many years managing projects with Primavera, and for me it's so easy to use that I can't hate anything about it. For beginners, they have to learn how to work tools and prepare and update projects, which may take a long time for some.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I advise everyone to adopt it for project management, as the accurate results you get with it are difficult to obtain using any other program. The number of activities that can be managed with Primavera is hard to beat.
