Industry Leader but Not that Intuitive

What differentiates Oracle Eloqua from other similar products?
As an industry leader, Oracle's Eloqua is constantly improving and bringing new features to customers. It's biggest strength is the program's ability to track web site activity and leads. While other programs do the same, Eloqua offers more strategic views and highly customizable reports.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The depth of features is probably the biggest positive of this product.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Eloqua is not very user friendly, and it's not intuitive to figure out how to create content and build campaigns. The good news is that there is plenty of information and education available on the Internet to help, and the sales team should be able to provide lots of training material.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would tell someone considering this product to really think about your goals and objectives to determine if this is the product you really need, or if there is another product that is now as powerful or expensive that can still help you complete your objectives. There is a bit of a learning curve to Eloqua, and there are other products that may help you reach your goals that are less expensive and easier to implement, especially if you have multiple users. I would also double check with the sales team to confirm what training is available, and how long they will offer support.

Good features and easy to use after initial setup

What differentiates Oracle Eloqua from other similar products?
The ease of use and how user friendly it is. I’ve not worked with other tools that are similar, but I’ve heard this feedback from others who have.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Segmentation is much faster and easier than curating static lists.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Difficult to provide user feedback and have it be recognized or seen. There are some great feature requests/enhancements that have been in the Topliners community for years that have never been acknowledged or implemented.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
You can customize it to meet your needs. We use it for internal employee communications in addition to external marketing. Our company has 65,000+ employees across the globe, and Eloqua makes it very easy to communicate with specific populations or the entire enterprise.
