What differentiates Optimizely Digital Experience Platform from other similar products?

The ease of use and they're the leaders I feel in this space

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The relative ease it is to implement, along with the flexibility and the data returned being able to make quick decisions

What do you dislike most about this product?

Like most products of this age it has some weight to it and becoming more complicated in order to meet all feature requests. It's also maybe too good in that everything is requested to be A/B tested when it's not always necessary.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's a great tool but use it when truly needed and not as a crutch to make every business decision.

What differentiates Optimizely Digital Experience Platform from other similar products?

Optimizely has a larger infrastructure behind it than many other testing tools on the marketplace. Besides Adobe Test & Target, the support team is the largest I have dealt with, and the personnel available to help with utilizing and troubleshooting the tool is large. There is always someone else available to step in and help out.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Optimizely has an easy to use UI that seems to have set the standard for the other tools out there (AB Tasty, VWO, etc.). For a long time, it was the gold standard and seen as the simplest platform to set up and use. The education resources are also fantastic, they have a larger support library than any other AB Testing platform I have ever dealt with.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Optimizely seems to have slowed down substantially in the innovation department. The SPA integration was severely lacking, and the goal setup for cross-domain tracking was unreliable and difficult. While the tool was simple and a no-brainer for ecommerce companies I worked with in my prior role (even though it was expensive), it lacked the features needed for my role in the SaaS space (even though the SaaS company could more easily afford it).

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Do a heavy analysis of your setup and optimal goals before selecting a vendor. Name alone is no longer sufficient to choose a testing vendor, like it used to be. Dependent on your tech stack, different products may be better suited for your needs.
