What differentiates OpenText Data Protector from other similar products?

It is the best compared with other platforms since you can easily recover and backup data without too much strain and also you can easily manage it since it is cost friendly.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is very easy to use and very supportive while using it. Also it is good when it comes to recovering data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Honestly i haven't come across any problem while using this great product so i have nothing to complain about.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To do more research from other experienced users to know if it will help them.

What differentiates OpenText Data Protector from other similar products?

The free trial is extended than other disaster recovery programs and also it offers access to all data protector premium tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Instant recovery through third-party applications such ad Sybase and MySQL available on Micro Focus Data Protector is the best thing ever. Orchestration and automation enables us to track and monitor SLAs.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Although Micro Focus Data Protector has wude range of features, it's not cist effective as price oer cpu socket is relatively high.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Cost and disaster recovery needs are the key determinants to take in consideration before buying Micro Focus Data Protector.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.

Integration With Storage Arrays Integrates with APIs from major storage vendors (NetApp, HP, Dell EMC) to leverage capabilities in these arrays such as data snapshots and replication.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.
