Really easy to personalize!

What differentiates OpenCart from other similar products?

It is really easy to customise. I have a business renting out self contained housing and even though there was no module for it, it was simple to write and integrate using the methodology. I also used a number of other modules written by the community and they were really easy to integrate and work. External integrations, such as Airbnb, also ready.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ese off use and ability to use in any context.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Migration from V3 to v4 was cumbersome, but it provided an opportunity to clean the database before migration. Still, many hours spent.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Use existing modules as much as you can and don't diverge from the methodology. Take the time to learn the functionality, there is a lot more than you think and if you really need to customise... Use the tools and methods, don't be a hero and develop from scratch.

What differentiates OpenCart from other similar products?

Its a very good platform for them who want to manage say 1-10 products, large scale products that don't require much technical difference - it wouldn't be useable for someone wanting to get into social shopping set up or relaiant on social media to shop with as there isn't many integrations with it to work back and forth

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Clean and simple backend for orders and simplicity of use to get from A to B.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Lack of intergrations with marketplaces from the core set up.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Do you research, talk to a trusted agency that can help when you fall into a small issue, there isn't much social content as in tips and tricks which could be nice to do for the product overall, but the community around it do help with some technical bits.
