Highly customizable ERP with fast growing rate

What differentiates Odoo from other similar products?

There is currently no other opensource ERP on the market that has the ubiquity of modules that Odoo offers.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is flexible and can be extended in every aspect to suit all kinds of business contexts and processes. The number of modules available means that it provides a basis for almost any type of business process, which can then be integrated and extended without the company having to spend large sums of money (which would be the case with other more prestigious ERPs).

What do you dislike most about this product?

The company (Odoo SA) releases a version every year, and developers implementing the system in a company find themselves chasing these releases almost every year. Odoo's customisation is unequivocally an added value, but in this case to keep up with the annual releases requires migrations (of data and code) that can also be long and costly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Rely on developers who have experience with Odoo and who genuinely serve the interests of your company. Do a good analysis of your business processes, and see if you necessarily need the Enterprise version, bearing in mind that the Community version (100% free) may already have what you need.

Pros

  • Performance Enhancing
  • Effective Service
  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product

Cons

  • Vendor's Interest First
  • Less Friendly Negotiation

Superb tool to automate accounting operations

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Odoo from other similar products?

I've used this financial and accounting software and can attest that it suits our demands admirably, thanks to its numerous capabilities. Because the software is simple to use, we haven't wasted our time and money on training. There is almost no identical product on the market that provides what we require except Odoo.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I am a big fan of this software because of its security and all-powerful capabilities. This allows us to not only utilize it inside our organization but also safely provide it to our clients. It's more than just an accounting program; it's a complete business management system. Continue to use this technique; it will entice more customers and make them feel valued.

What do you dislike most about this product?

To complete the first configuration an expert is needed. Upgrading it to the new version and upgrading our database to the new version takes a lot of time. Actually, it's not a really horrible point; it's just a source of aggravation. A couple of items in the accounting section appear to be repeated several times.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

A system that starts with the basics and gradually adds functionality, either by configuration or by being flexible enough to reinforce and grow quickly, is probably more suited and in this area, Odoo always shines, its higher-flexibility open-source nature makes it an ideal system for both small and large businesses.
