What differentiates Netsurion from other similar products?

They haven't kept up with the technology in this area, and they were purchased by another company that clearly wants to dismantle their old technology. Great people to work with, and at one time, Netsurion was a top performer in this area. Now, their competition has moved beyond them by a significant amount. I thought the sales team was great, and their pricing and contract process was respectable and fair. They demonstrated they wanted me as a client, it just isn't a good fit any longer.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

At one time, it was the technology leader in this area.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Other solutions in this vertical outperform them on features and function.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would consider that they are great people to work with, but their technology isn't up to the competition. Make sure that you are comparing features and function before you continue discussions.

What differentiates Netsurion from other similar products?

Their service is much more dedicated and offers adequate technical support that provides any solution to any security issues that may arise. The price is much lower for the SIEM solution they offer, and I can also manage everything myself regarding configuration and allow the platform team to decide how I can deploy Netsurion within my company. It may seem like a very simplified SIEM platform, but it is the most robust and comprehensive when it comes to network security. The event logs are more detailed, allowing you to see any activity that has occurred on the network, making it easier to determine if there is a security issue.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I can obtain detailed event reports from my Windows servers. This has allowed me to identify certain attacks and security breaches that have occurred throughout my company's implementation of Netsurion. It can also be easily integrated into our on-premises Office 365 infrastructure, allowing for certain actions, especially when running something in Excel, which can be dangerous if the necessary security isn't in place. I find its interface simple, making it easy to use and quick to learn for users who want to implement a SIEM solution.

What do you dislike most about this product?

You must have specific hardware that meets the requirements of this platform for it to function properly. Additionally, you must keep in mind that if you don't do this, you'll have to use the performance of your internal hardware to achieve the desired security, which will negatively impact your workflow. For some strange reason, some of the agents we have installed stop working without knowing why. This is annoying because the only solution we currently have is to restart everything and run the platform again. This wastes time and endangers the company's infrastructure due to the security gap. I'm having trouble receiving event alerts.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For me, the price is fair for what you get; it's worth setting up a secure infrastructure with this platform due to its comprehensiveness. This platform has allowed me to identify risks in my network in real time, as well as various threats that jeopardize my company's network security. This has allowed me to implement the appropriate solutions, and since then, I have not been more vulnerable to cyberattacks. In addition to the fact that it's easy to implement, and if at any point it becomes difficult to have technical support trained in this platform, it has been useful on most occasions when I know how to solve certain problems.
