What differentiates Microsoft Power Query from other similar products?

Microsoft Power Query great product for manage the data. You can use power query in Power BI Desktop and easily write the query. Power query easily manage the large data set. The formulas of power query similar like Excel.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The good thing about power query, Its easy to learn and Microsoft provide lot's of tutorials and videos on that. You can contact to Power BI community and they provide the solution of every problem related to Power BI.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometime Power Query not connecting to SQL database when we refresh the dataset. Power Query is Microsoft product and Excel is also Microsoft product but the formula are not same in both platform. Power Query formulas are different to Excel.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend that, Power Query is Microsoft product and they provide good features, support and security. So try at least once

What differentiates Microsoft Power Query from other similar products?

We were using Excel to massage our data, but after we experienced Power Query, it dramatically increased our productivity and helped us increase our service offerings, which impressed customers and hence helped us acquire customers we historically would not have gained

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

If you like Excel, then you will quickly appreciate how quick and easy it was to use. There are buttons that take the place of complex formulas as well as having the ability to apply the modifications across folders, instead of each file (which was amazing for us). We can massage a file and then let Power Query make those same modifications to any file we add to a specific folder and your data is massaged, Amazing stuff. This saved us so many hours we can't even count. That eliminated repetitive tasks for each file or hiring someone to write us some code/script to perform it and having that code modified at a later date to do other things.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The only gripe I have is when we deal with large files, and if we have many large files in a folder, it takes a while to refresh

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are using Excel and you have become a formula wizard, or if you use Excel and always play with your data, then I highly recommend trying Power Query. They offer a free version that is very feature-rich, and quite impressive.
