What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?
Power BI offers a ton of flexibility and supports BI developers with various backgrounds and skillsets (though this can be both a blessing and a curse). In its simplest form, it is also quite affordable. It also fits very well with orgs that are Microsoft-based.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Power BI is very powerful and very well supported. It also features a robust community capable of assisting with common and uncommon business questions.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Power BI is a memory hog. Also, while powerful, I find that it offers almost too much flexibility -- meaning that it accommodates a variety of non-standard practices which are then left up to the teams and orgs to manage.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do your research and make sure the product fits with your use case. Make sure you also have the necessary experience on your team to get value from the platform. Plan well to avoid tech debt -- which, in my experience, is worse with Power BI than some of its competitors (e.g., Tableau).

- Continually Improving Product
- Acts with Integrity
- Includes Product Enhancements
