What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

The application is highly advanced and provide high level advanced business analytics with huge utilities. The dashboard is interactive and is not boring at all. The business insights from data analysis is of great use and has wide business utilities. Server is good enough to manage any kind of data load due to which no lag or no slow down of system is observed. Correct and accurate analytics helps in driving accurate business decision making.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Power Bi provides an easy to connect and interactive method for pulling data in real time from data collection system such as the SharePoint online, MS Excel and others. The ease of connecting with SharePoint is the strong point.

What do you dislike most about this product?

PowerBI also has a steep learning curve and uses 3 coding languages (DAX, M, and SQL). It's more complicated than it needs to be.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend going on LinkedIn learning on watch training videos prior to using Power BI. It will definately help with getting more familiar with the system.

What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

Since it is a Microsoft product, some companies can use it. This product has a lot of reference books, training, knowledge, etc., and the point is that you can use it out of the box. There are no particular weaknesses compared to the competition, and it is helpful because you can flexibly create reports that acquire data from various data connectors and visualize it. Since it can be added as a Teams team tab, it is easy to access, and the speed of information sharing has improved dramatically.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The usage status metrics report allows you to check the usage status by the user and by day so that it can be used for sharing and deployment within the department. You can verify the data source used by the report in the series display, so you do not need to ask the designer. Since access rights can be configured separately for workspace and information, user administration is simple. Since the report design is loaded and saved, the administration is accessible. Several people in the department use Power BI Desktop to create reports and share them with the team, including other departments.

What do you dislike most about this product?

However, since getting insights from data and dashboards depends to some extent on the user's knowledge, hypothesizing, and other capabilities, we'd like to see AI-powered automated analysis and suggestions.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is a tool for the verification of the effectiveness of marketing scenarios. Once standardized, it is impossible to think of a business without it. It is possible to understand the transition and breakdown of effects, analyze the attributes of users who have converted and even manage progress toward monthly goals. Real-time usage metrics reporting makes it even more convenient. I use it as preliminary information to see our service usage. And when the customer wants to know the frequency of usage and usage status, we can present the table.

What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

Until now, when it came to data analysis, we used multiple tools such as EXCEL and other BI tools. With the introduction of M365, the operation was unified with Power BI and increased the productivity of data analysis work. Since it can be operated intuitively, no matter what kind of data is analyzed, there is no hesitation in running it, and the analysis work can be started immediately. If you get used to it, you can achieve your goals faster with Power BI than with EXCEL to analyze data. Data analysis in EXCEL used to be commonplace, but since Power BI was introduced, analysis work in EXCEL has all but disappeared.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Since Microsoft made it, the user interface has been easy to understand, so even people new to BI tools can quickly get used to it. I appreciate that it is free. I think it's an excellent tool to stick to the look and feel because you can organize charts clearly and easily. PowerPoint is often used to create presentation materials for Microsoft products, but the advantage is that you can easily create charts with better layouts. It can be linked to Excel as quickly as PowerPoint, and simple data analysis can be completed in Power BI.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have no particular complaints, but I often use it in Teams; but would like the user interface to be the same as the desktop version. Also, I am in a position to sell to customers, but I feel the licensing is complicated.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are an introductory user to M365, I believe there is only Power BI. When creating a proposal, you can create beautiful materials compared to PowerPoint. The documents are also essential, which has increased the order rate. Also, making the graphic itself is very easy, so I feel it has reduced the time to develop materials. We often propose and sell BI tools to our customers, but until now, we have not been able to do so with confidence because the products have not been used internally. Since the introduction of Power BI, we have used it daily in the company and can now confidently answer any questions about functions, operations, etc
