One thing that sets Microsoft Power BI apart from its competing software and products is the familiar UI. This is because a lot of the organizations use the Microsoft Office suite, and if you have used these apps, you might find it easier to navigate on Power BI. Another great thing is the option between cloud and on-premises work, which is crucial in today's work culture.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I have used multiple data analysis software and products, and the things about Microsoft Power BI that is my favorite is it's advanced level data modeling capabilities. While Power BI allows for a very robust data cleaning and transformation, the advanced tools for data modeling is very crucial to the success of data dependent projects. Also the use of the DAX language (Data Analysis Expressions) allows for a greater range of flexibility in data analysis.

What do you dislike most about this product?

While this is a great software with a lot of tools and techniques, the learning curve might be a little steep for someone just stepping in to the world of data analysis. For such users, it might take them some time to learn the ins and out of the software. But nevertheless, there are a lot of training videos available online which can help start the learning journey more smoothly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your organization is already working using the Microsoft Office suite, and are looking to get a data analysis software, PowerBI is a great investment since it by the same company, which will allow for seamless cross product integration. Another recommendation will be to get some good training on using the software, because it has a wide array of features which might go unutilized without proper training and introduction to them.
