What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

Microsoft Power BI integrates seamlessly with Azure and various data services on the Microsoft ecosystem and has advanced features built on robust infrastructure and software architecture.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Microsoft Power BI constantly combines cutting-edge technologies into the platform and adds new features based on user feedback and demands through the Microsoft user forums. It is easy to use and allows the average user to build reports, visualizations, and dashboards using advanced technologies within a no-code environment.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The data transition speed over third-party applications and data sources sometimes gets too slow. Also, the Power BI report files might take a long time to publish/upload to the Power BI service online.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend new users join the support forums to learn and keep up with the best practices and newly added features.

What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

Power BI provide attractive GUI and fast development of dashboards. Power BI is build on excel platform, so inherit most of excel functionality. Compare to other tools(qlik, tableau, CRM analytics) , very less training required. Compared to other competitors license cost is less.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Cost effective, very minimum training is required to start the development. Work as a self services tool, most of business people can do their reporting if backend data model is designed optimal way. Attractive GUI - almost 250 charts are available which can be used without any additional pay.

What do you dislike most about this product?

We can not create snapshot kind of logic in power BI data modeling, If we have very complex business logic which required snapshot and history maintenance then we should have model created in backend.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One of the BEST BI reporting solution currently available in market, If you have data lake and ETL team then you can opt for power BI and build beautiful dashboards for your organization.
