Hard to handle Large volume of data using powerBi. Formulas are pretty rigid

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Go for it if you don’t process terabytes of data

What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

The level of integration power bi has into solutions is brilliant, it allows you to do any level of BI analytics and works as a standard across BI analytics for any tool. I am particularly happy with its automation flow engine

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The integration you get and same look and feel amongst all microsoft solutions, a great addition is the use of powerapps and microsoft flow automations to do a lot of automation tasks for you to get a clear data set for your dashboard, also the way to embed dashboards into sharepoint

What do you dislike most about this product?

The windows application itself to edit the view is awful, its very clonky, slow and hard to use especially when working with difficult apps, sometimes the licensing policy for powerapps is unclear and difficult to manage/understand when integrating heavily into sharepoint pages

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

There are many alternative solutions, powerbi is an extremely capable platform and sets the standard of BI, however has draw backs and a weak online community support is difficult to get for powerbi and the application to build the app is not easy to use. I prefer cloud first solutions

Connectivity and similarity to backend of other Microsoft products so there is cohesion there.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of use and integrating with other Microsoft DBs etc.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Reporting functionality as well as the lack of spatial visibility of data. Hard to get what you want across on dashboards

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Look at the competition and make a decision based on the full picture rather than focusing on a single issueb
