To perform complex data analysis or in engineering fields it is necessary to resort to DAX language implementation, perhaps with a solid base of Excel things can be a little simple otherwise it requires a long learning curve to take full advantage of it.

Microsoft Power BI is a great data analytics and visualization solution developed by the Microsoft. We are regularly using Power BI for all data analytics projects. It is highly reliable and secured BI solution which gives you the flexibility to extract, load, and transform the data from almost all the sources such as SQL, CSV, Excel, etc. It is highly capable and scalable solution which has great visualizations, charts, maps, etc. You need some initial training before using the Power BI.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part of Power BI is the flexibility of data integration with other 3rd party sources and the applications. Since it is developed by the Microsoft, other MS applications such as Office, SharePoint, and MS SQL can be integrated easily. The support services are also very good and helpful. it has also a wide community base in case you face any challenges and issues.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some of the limitations are: 1) The data refresh rate is sometimes very slow. 2) Pricing model could be challenge for small and mid-sized organizations. 3) challenges with the learning curve for most advanced analytics. 4) If you want to use Machine Learning feature for predictive and descriptive analysis, then Premium subscription would be more costly.

Please go with it you will found it very useful BI solution. It works great if you are on MS Azure cloud platform and using Office 365 as well. Overall, a good decision to go with.
