What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Endpoint from other similar products?
It contains a built-in port scan to feed information into the dashboard, allowing you to see each day which endpoints, based on their value, need to be patched first. It has a sophisticated hunting tool that searches your tenant for dangers using the Kusto query language. Overall, using this has been wonderful for us.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Defender performs basic to critical OS-level scans, protecting your servers from threats. My time spent downloading the reports are cut down thanks to automatic reporting. Analysis of potential service threats is made easier with the help of alert recommendations. We learned to be vigilant about potential hazards. In order to complete the picture, MDVM looks for and displays susceptible systems.
What do you dislike most about this product?
False positives brought on by Microsoft changing their software. It's unreliable, according to technical blogs I've read. Given that we provide them with all of our information, this is alarming. The only thing I don't like about Microsoft Defender is how expensive it is in contrast to other programs, but it is still well worth the money.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The organization as a whole uses this software as its primary threat defense. It is used to keep track of threats, viruses, malware, and other issues that arise on user computers. All machines that connect to the network have it already set up. This guarantees that customers won't actually need to worry about setting up threat prevention software on their personal PCs or installing it.
