What differentiates Microsoft Azure Data Factory from other similar products?

I love the scalability and flexibility given to me when using Application Gateway

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's powerful, works as a layer 7 load balancer and provides me everything I'd need to offload SSL and load balancing to a cloud service and let's me focus on writing apps. If you don't have a domain, use Azure FrontDoor.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The only downside I'd say there was for me when using Application Gateway, is you need to 100% have a domain name setup in advance and ready to use. Most features don't play well with just an IP and you can't use the azurewebsites domain either which makes sense

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Azure Application Gateway is solving a complex issue that I used to solve using manually configured reverse proxies and load balancers that needed to be setup and maintained and then ended up also becoming a single point of failure under extreme load

What differentiates Microsoft Azure Data Factory from other similar products?

The drag and drop feature is very handy which is missing from other similar products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We can establish an API connectivity with a majority of data sources and sinks. Huge number of options available.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing to dislike as such. It is a very handy and stable tool for data pipelining.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This product is definitely worth trying for creating pipelines. Having a hands on of Pyspark would be extremely handy. Also, I would advice you to switch off the cluster whenever you are not using this service to reduce costs.

What differentiates Microsoft Azure Data Factory from other similar products?

Azure data factory allows for visual integration with multiple data sources. It has numerous connectors that I have found quite effective and are maintenance free. It is among the best data orchestration platforms and for data migration with a lot of data transmission and data copying capabilities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It has great features and a great variety of of built in connectors making its integration abilities top notch. It underpins many of our non conventional data sources like APIs, SAP and more. I love how easy it is to construct ETL and ELT Processes and to monitor pipelines; they need no coding making ADF the efficient platform for no code ETL work

What do you dislike most about this product?

We have found it challenging to move ADF across different environments. Choosing cluster size is also very rigid it could use a little bit of lubrication for flexibility.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

ADF has an intuitive user interface and an easy learning curve, so building pipelines just takes a few hours. Also its integration with azure devops.
