What differentiates Mendix from other similar products?

The ability to create a desktop as well as a platform (Android or iOS) independent mobile app from the same low-code development environment is unique. The ease with which this is possible adds to that uniqueness. Further more, Mendix is by far the most enterprise ready low-code platform out there today. Lastly, where some low-code platforms claim to be "no-code" or "citizendevelopment-ready", they are usually much more high code. Any company trying to decide on a low-code platform should not even need to spend long contemplating, go with Mendix and your needs will be covered.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The development environment is a one-stop-shop, it's all there including the development tool itself, database, webserver and ability to run your apps locally for testing or demo purposes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Where the product on Mendix Cloud is close to perfect, when run on Azure, AWS or on SAP Cloud, then administration of the platform is so much more complicated and a lot of functionality is lost.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Run your apps on Mendix Cloud. Do not go on-prem or hybrid or private. It is not necessary.
