What differentiates Magnolia Digital Experience Platform from other similar products?
Magnolia is a fundamental application for us, enabling us to personalize our response to consumer requirements in the travel sector. This is due to its flexible deployment choices, modules, and numerous customisation possibilities. In the eight years that we have been utilizing Magnolia with our development business, there haven't been any requests that we haven't been able to complete. For us, this flexibility is quite valuable. As a result, we employ Magnolia as a CMS across several platforms.greatly boost website performance, we were able to integrate analytics, targeting, and external content as a source system in the personalization.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Magnolia is a headless content management system that allows you to fully integrate your own front-end applications and manage individual elements or entire templates. The best features were the easy navigating between pages inside an application or even between apps when using a multi-page method, as well as the direct editing of components. We can now provide white-labelled apps with varying degrees of extension thanks to Magnolia, all without requiring us to budget for substantial IT resources—which are never in sufficient supply. As a result, white label shop solution go-to-market times have been greatly shortened.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Every beginning is challenging, and Magnolia's wealth of options can often be debilitating. It was challenging for the development team to make a first breakthrough early in the integration. There are innumerable methods to accomplish the task, each with pros and cons, because Magnolia has so many tools, plug-ins, and extensions available. There are moments when the squad feels overpowered by the abundance of options. An MVP template could be useful in this situation. Here, technical documentation and guidance on various MVP variations, use cases, and the particular integration would be beneficial.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For both the static and dynamic presentation of our web content, we utilize Magnolia. Maintaining assets and content in the travel business is fairly simple and adaptable, and it can be tailored to fit specific product and content needs. When new requirements from both internal and external stakeholders come up frequently, this really helps. Not possible—it doesn't exist! We can usually respond to new requirements with Magnolia such that implementation is feasible, allowing us to fully focus on prioritizing the issues.
