Great tool, but quite expensive
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates LinkedIn Talent Insights from other similar products?
The amount of people on LinkedIn. There's more people to search through on LinkedIn compared to any other product. Especially if you're looking for professional/experienced candidates.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It's quite easy to use. Even if you don't' have a great grasp on Boolean searches, you could probably still figure out how to use the searches quite quickly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The price. That will always be the downfall, as it is pretty darn expensive to have a LinkedIn Recruiter seat. I also wish you could switch seats around among your team easier. Sometimes some of us don't do any searches a month, while others do, and it feels wasteful to have a seat for someone who isn't using it to the full potential.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you have the budget and truly need to do sourcing/headhunting, you should definitely get it.
Pros
- Effective Service
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
Cons
- Slower Product Innovation
- Vendor's Interest First
- Less Generous

Connects quality candidates in half the time
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates LinkedIn Talent Insights from other similar products?
I like that the platform uses algorithms and machine learning to match the organization to candidates with similar skill sets and backgrounds to our job descriptions. This automation makes the interview, hiring, training and onboarding process faster and saves me time to complete other operations-related tasks.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I can use LinkedIn's messaging platform, InMail to reach out to potential applicants. Compared to traditional job sites and career boards, I usually receive a high response rate from these positive, direct message interactions.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike that there doesn't seem to be a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) component to this software. All the candidates that are recommended and highly prioritized by the platform don't really have much to differentiate themselves from one another.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would contact the sales team for a demo and ask for a discount, especially if you come from the nonprofit industry like me!
Pros
- Inspires Innovation
- Helps Innovate
- Generous Negotitation
- Transparent

A place for social media experts to congregate

What differentiates LinkedIn Talent Insights from other similar products?
Our company uses a variety of recruiting methods. If you work in the tech industry, you'll need this tool for recruiting: LinkedIn Recruiter is an excellent source of candidates who meet my needs. A great way to network, source, and recruit for a new job is to talk about your professional background and [share] your thoughts on the companies you've worked for. It's not the best place to share memes or just hang out with friends.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
One of the most widely used and most popular recruiting tools is LinkedIn Recruiter. Professionals from all over the world can connect here, and we can find people with a wide range of expertise. When I was looking for jobs in the IT field, I also used it as a source of information. Recently, I've been using it more for networking and keeping up with industry trends. When it comes to finding and connecting with people at the very top or very bottom of the professional ladder, LinkedIn is an invaluable resource.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I'm missing a boolean search algorithm that can help me get more relevant results in this situation. Additionally, there are only a limited number of inmails available in the subscription plan to use when conducting a boolean string search on the candidate. There is a good chance that the results will be useless. In addition, there are numerous differences between mobile and web-based applications.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
In terms of re-outreach, LinkedIn Recruiter is the best option. When you can keep track of who you've emailed how many times, create templates, and move people to different stages of the process, everything goes much more smoothly. Besides that, the ability to keep track of candidates across multiple projects is a big plus.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
