Kaseya VSA Supports all remote workers
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Kaseya VSA from other similar products?
The VSA has made it easy for me to manage all my devices. Although cumbersome at times, it allows me to quickly zoom in and see all the information I need to perform the routine tasks that keep my clients safe.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
As an MSP, the VSA is invaluable in facilitating the administration of all of our endpoints; Although each client is unique, sometimes some patterns can be found. Kaseya VSA is helping our business support our customers and protect their systems so they can continue to work without interruption.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are performance hiccups from time to time. Sometimes it seems like I have to deal with the program to do what I want. This can be annoying, but it only needs to be done once.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
My team of two has no problem keeping up with any issues that may arise due to VSA's intuitive interface. There was no need to submit a request for additional staff. Kaseya VSA has allowed me to provide remote support to my clients while maintaining my independence. With the arrival of COVID and the widespread use of remote work by our clients, this is a great help.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Efficient Service

Kaseya VSA makes it simple to manage remotely
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Kaseya VSA from other similar products?
For us, VSA has greatly simplified application deployments, uninstallations, and patch administration. We used to have to manually target each device, but VSA has made that unnecessary.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The remote control function and how simple it is to handle end-user devices are two of my favorite aspects. One of our greatest successes has been in the area of software deployment.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If you need more power for your queries and tasks than the cloud can provide, you can choose for the on-premises version of Kaseya VSA, but it comes with a higher price tag in terms of the SQL License, hardware expense, operating system license, and backup solution.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Kaseya VSA's notifications were sophisticated. In the event of a network outage or a failed patch, we were receiving timely notifications. It's a highly effective tool that opens up a wide range of possibilities for managing endpoints.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Efficient Service
- Acts with Integrity

What differentiates Kaseya VSA from other similar products?
Recording every remote control session - On the User Role Policy and Machine Policy pages of the Remote Control module, a "Record remote control to a file in the machine working directory" checkbox can be selected. Each remote control session that employs these policies is automatically recorded.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Agent procedures now include a new sendAlert() command. There are no parameters for this step command. Instead, prior to the sendAlert() step, one or more "alert action variables" are specified, which determine the actions triggered by the sendAlert() step. All alert action variables are completely optional. If no alert action variables are specified, an alarm will be generated with the system default message. To disable the default alarm action, use an alert action variable.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Previously, master users had an extra right called Take Ownership, which allowed them to "take ownership" of any shared folder or shared object. Take ownership granted the new owner full access to the folder or object, as if they were the creator. Throughout the VSA, the "take ownership" feature has been removed. Ownership is now defined as any user/role with Share permissions to a specific folder or object as of this release. Any user with a master role has full control over private and shared folders without first assuming ownership. Only "system content" folders and objects, such as the "Sample Procedures" folder, are exempt.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The Plugin Manager is no longer present, and the Live Connect plugins are now installed via a standalone installer. On the Agent > Update Agents page, there is now a "Download Live Connect plugin installer for Windows browsers" option. Clicking this link downloads a standalone installer to the VSA user's local machine for all versions of Windows supported by Live Connect. The Live Connect Plugin Manager and all Live Connect plugins for Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer are installed by the installer.
