The best team project management tool.

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

We're working on an Agile project and using Jira to manage and track our release tasks. The team's performance has improved thanks to the use of Jira. It enables us to plan and prioritize tasks, which ultimately improves team productivity. I can select Backlog items and assign them to the current Sprint using Jira. Each sprint is customizable, and iterations can last two or three weeks. Another feature I like is that I can tailor my labels and dropdowns to the project at hand.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Jira is simple to use, and it is the best collaboration tool for managing multiple project teams. We can currently manage multiple projects at the same time. I've also included filters to include stories assigned by QA members. And I can save each filter and name it after each QA member's username. Sprint planning and project schedule management are standout features, making it the best tool for managing and tracking work on agile projects in general.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The Jira website is lengthy and frequently gets stuck in the middle, which is extremely inconvenient during critical jobs. Jira occasionally prevents me from attaching screenshots to comments. This only happens on rare occasions, and refreshing the browser usually fixes it. However, there are times when I have a lengthy comment written and refreshing the page causes me to lose it. I also believe that the software's price is a little higher than it should be when compared to other software in the same segment.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is the best product for teamwork, Jira makes it very simple to manage and track projects. It enables the organization and capture of issues, as well as the implementation of team plans that result in on-time project delivery. It is suitable for SCRUM, Waterfall and Kanban methodologies. JIRA will assist you in keeping track of your stories and bugs for the current and future versions. The backlog is easily remedied, because each project will have different things to track, each tag can be customized to your needs. You can configure JIRA history to be locked by subtasks, which can be named Defects or Bugs.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product

Jira tracks bugs/improvement and Agile Methodology

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

Jira is used for tracking bugs and enhancements while adhering to Agile Methodology. The development process begins with the creation of tickets, followed by prioritization and planning for which tickets will be worked on during the current Sprint, followed by status updates and finally ticket closures.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This aids in team management and progress estimation. It also integrates with GitLab, so that when we push to Git and include a JIRA ticket number in the commit message, the changes made in Git will be reflected in JIRA. In addition to all this, we can also trace the ticket's history and leave comments on it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

With the rapid development of new product engineering tools, it is critical that Jira offer support for these new platforms as quickly as feasible. Because there isn't an automatic procedure for migrating data, moving to Jira from another system is a labor-intensive process.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Since its inception, Jira has served as our company's principal task management software for keeping track of routine operations. Jira, on the other hand, has become an all-encompassing platform for us because of the many ways in which it can be integrated with other tools and systems vital to software engineering. Jira is now how we handle the whole product engineering process.

Intuitive and easy to implement software

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

The capacity for several team members to collaborate on a project while having access to all relevant information. You can receive notifications when new tickets are allocated to users, as well as when tickets are changed or the person is referenced in a remark. Confluence system tests and user stories may be quickly linked to Jira tickets. When a new project comes in, we must first establish a plan for it, after which we make little individual tasks and allocate them to each team member. So it's really simple for us to keep track of all the jobs and subtasks for the entire crew.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

User-friendliness, cross-platform compatibility, one-click job assignment and tracking, sophisticated filter options, mobile app, user-friendly UI, problem, bug, and task tracking all in one location. It is possible to create tickets, assign individuals to them, and get alerts. To obtain additional information about tickets, new fields have been introduced. You can keep track of how much time you spend on each issue. and generate reports displaying work by individual, time, and stage You may attach tickets to Confluence pages to monitor system testing, and you can filter by stage or owner.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The report generating process is not very straightforward; it takes several attempts to pull the information you want from the tickets. Also, if you make a board and several boards are made outside of that board, you get alerted of all updates on all boards; we haven't found a method to disable this function. There is no dark mode, file upload size is limited, interaction with other applications is difficult and you must browse through numerous choices to discover things.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take heart: you may encounter difficulties in the first 2-5 days of setup and comprehension, but things will become much easier and more versatile after that. Yes, if you operate in a team, I would suggest it for ticket tracking. You should spend some time getting acquainted with the reporting features and search choices. Recommend that the project manager use the reports to deliver relevant information to clients. Connecting to Confluence increases this product's usefulness.
