Jira applies good support synchronization

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?
At first, Atlassian JIRA was only implemented in our software support department, to which I belong. It is now used in several other departments within our Information Systems division. The system is used as a tool to monitor current support issues, but it also has the primary function of being a software development project management tool. This allows us to concentrate all the tasks related to a single project and, in addition, we can observe real-time statistics based on the project.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
We find the email feature to be excellent and love the way everything is recorded, so we know exactly where we are with communications for each specific project. I am fascinated by how versatile and fluid it is. If you can devise a procedure, it's easy to incorporate it into the system. I love the way the new version was restructured. I love the split screen, where I can see the JIRA tickets on the left and the details on the right, all from the same screen.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I wish there was a way to automatically delete email replies so that only subsequent comments are recorded in the log book. Sometimes when we have a lot of emails being delivered and received, there can be a long trail of emails that gets added to the audit log and is just unnecessary information. It would be helpful if responses to emails outside of the JIRA system were directed to the comments tab instead of the email tab. We use the comments tab very devotedly and often forget to check the email tab to see if there are any messages.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I think the system provides an excellent technical support service. We can monitor all issues that come into the office effectively and in a short time we can evaluate the progress of each one. From a project management perspective, it is useful for monitoring the passage of time on specific tasks, however, it would be ideal to incorporate a scheduling module and calendar. This would make JIRA the gateway to all our needs.

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?
The wide range of users, especially the ones who follows agile models for product development. The ability to generate reports and pin point on what's been done well and what needs improvement. One can easily track on who's working on what. It is very helpful in planning the timelines and resources for the project and also highlights the blockers.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
To me, it is the reporting. It gives a clear insights on how the team did. This can help the project planner to bring necessary changes to do things better and faster. Also it can help in knowing what should the team continues to do.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Like I mentioned already, notifications are still on emails whenever a task is assigned or a task's priority has changed. An intuitive notification should help take actions faster.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For project planning, timelines and resources, JIRA is the best!
