What is IBM Storage Protect?

IBM Storage Protect™ provides comprehensive data resilience for physical file servers, virtual environments, and a wide range of applications. Organizations can scale up to manage billions of objects per backup server. Clients can reduce backup infrastructure costs with built-in data efficiency capabilities and the ability to migrate or copy data to tape, public cloud services, and on-premises object storage. IBM Storage Protect can also store IBM Storage Protect Plus data, allowing companies to take advantage of their existing investment for long-term data retention and disaster recovery.

Its a tool that any organization should embrace. The tool with the ease of use and customization, it allows you to protect all your data and recover it in case of disaster and resilient recovery of data. You are able to create a wonderful and effective data back up. Your data is always protected with the tool.

The ease of customization and user friendly interface. The tool is responsive and meets the requirement.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For the time of usage, nothing that i have found to be annoying about the tool.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Analytics Built-in real-time and historical reporting and analytics on SLAs, performance, and resource consumption, as well as predictive capabilities to plan & optimize.

Application Awareness Application consistent backup and granular restore for application data from core applications such as MS SQL, Oracle, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.
