What differentiates Hubilo from other similar products?

Hubilo is interesting in that it offers a lot of features for a relatively low price vs certain competitors. For example, RTMP access is included with Hubilo, but On24 charges thousands of dollars more to access that basic feature. Hubilo is still a relatively new platform, but it's evolving quickly and appears to be going in the right direction of offering a lot of value at a fair and affordable price, coupled with great service.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Technically speaking, I love that they allow RTMP access for easy integration with OBS Studio and other production tools that a purely web based front end would certainly lack. On a personal level, I appreciated the responsive customer service and their openness to make changes in order to allow us to do some of the functions we needed (no registration required for attendees, which was originally not part of the platform) and a willingness to help at every point along the way.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The deal breaker for us is that there was no way to enable redundant control from different locations vs On24, which gave us that capability by allowing us to upload all our media to their site. Unfortunately, that approach means we lost a lot of professional level production quality we could have employed via OBS. If Hubilo can craft a way to allow two producers to connect with OBS from different locations and share control, they'll be unstoppable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Weigh pros and cons against other vendors. For us, it was Hubilo vs On24. In all but one way, Hubilo was the superior product, but that one way--lack of a way to ensure we could have dual producer coverage simultaneously--meant we had no choice but to use the competing product. But if you're not worried about that and feel confident your production facilities are safe enough against faults, then Hubilo is an excellent choice.
