No support, software first

What differentiates Gusto from other similar products?
It is a software first company. The pricing is transparent.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Software innovation and transparent pricing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Gusto does not have any real customer support. They screwed paychecks and screwed up benefits. Given the sensitivity around these items you would expect some type of customer service. But calls went unanswered and unreturned. Tickets were neglected for over a week. Had to call in through the sales extension to talk to someone. No USA based support. Took over a month to get close to resolution. I had to publicly shame them on social media before they would respond to me.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It works great as a basic payroll company for a small business. But the second you start adding benefits or need any outside help from them it becomes useless and destructive to productivity.
