Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Google Authenticator from other similar products?
Google Authenticator works with a wide range of websites and apps. It is supported by many platforms as a way to add an extra layer of security called two-factor authentication. This means you can use Google Authenticator to protect your accounts on various online services, ensuring a consistent and trustworthy security solution across multiple platforms.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Google Authenticator allows you to access your authentication codes without needing an internet connection. This means you can still authenticate and log in to your accounts even when you don't have access to the internet or if the network is unreliable.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Google Authenticator cannot sync your accounts automatically across multiple devices. If you use the app on more than one device, you will have to set up and configure each device separately. This can be inconvenient, as you need to repeat the setup process and manually enter your account information on each device.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Google Authenticator codes work correctly, check that the time settings on your phone or tablet are accurate. It's important to keep your device's time up to date and synchronised with the correct time. This helps prevent any differences in time that could cause issues when generating authentication codes.
