Great way to take repeat payments

What differentiates GoCardless from other similar products?

Getting setup with GoCardless and using the service was a faily easy process. When I looked at banks and other services, the process and cost looked a lot more complicated, which is why I went with GoCardless.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Once GoCardless is setup, you can invite your clients to connect, as soon as they do you can then start to set up the payment plans for your clients. You can create bespoke payments as well and standard plan that you can then add more than one client to.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not a big dislike, but sometimes I would like the transactions to be shown differently from the way GoCardless provides. You have a list of payouts and pending, but it might be nice to have a bank style statement showing all transactions together.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are not sure if you need to take Direct Debit payments, then this is a good way to start, you have no costs until you make a transaction, and the fees charged are not very high. Having clients on Direct Debit makes taking payments easier for me, and I have fewer clients to remind that they have an outstanding bill to pay.

What differentiates GoCardless from other similar products?

The integration between GoCardless and Xero is incredible and saves a considerable amount of bookkeeping time. The fees for processing ACH payments are a nice change from the fees related to card payments from other payment processors. Great product for recurring payments.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Integration with Xero.

What do you dislike most about this product?

ACH payments are harder to refund than card payments. I think this is more an issue with ACH than anything to do with GoCardless.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Give it a try!
