What is FortiSOAR?

Integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric, FortiSOAR security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) remedies some of the biggest challenges facing cybersecurity teams today. Allowing security operation center (SOC) teams to create a custom automated framework that pulls together all of their organization's tools unifies operations, eliminating alert fatigue and reducing context switching. This allows enterprises to not only adapt, but also optimize their security process.

What differentiates FortiSOAR from other similar products?

FortiSOAR differs from other software because it has an intuitive interface that is extremely useful for data compression, provides fast detection and response time, allows fully customized incident management and administration so that the security team business is able to better understand, review and manage incidents that arise, on the other hand it provides an excellent visualization of the data froma that does not require the translation of text strings or numerical information, which leads to faster conclusions and therefore faster resolutions are obtained.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of this SOAR is that it provides dashboards and reports that help SOC teams track, measure, analyze, and investigate their performance, as well as help eliminate alert fatigue and reduce context switching thanks to a that offers an automated framework, which has the ability to link scan reports to alerts for a faster response to incidents presented at the business level, in addition its Playbook allows SOC to design, develop, debug, control and use playbooks in the most efficient way.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its implementation is confusing, especially when it comes to first time users of this type of software, so having fewer options can be of great help, also its dashboards are not very up to date and its integration with external providers needs to be more stable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

An ideal application for when handling a wide variety of applications at a business level since its integration with Fortinet will allow better management of incidents and at the same time be able to give an adequate response to them.
