What is FortiSOAR?

Integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric, FortiSOAR security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) remedies some of the biggest challenges facing cybersecurity teams today. Allowing security operation center (SOC) teams to create a custom automated framework that pulls together all of their organization's tools unifies operations, eliminating alert fatigue and reducing context switching. What differentiates FortiSOAR from other similar products?

FortiSOAR differs from other tools because it has a high customization and gives its users the ability to remediate incidents in real time, as well as automated guides and a fast and accurate classification of incidents, it can be integrated with a wide variety of platforms giving you the advantage companies of faster responses, contain incidents and at the same time reduce mitigation times, making them go from hours to seconds, it also provides detailed reports that are based on roles so that the user is able to measure, track and analyze SOC investigations and performance.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that it helps that in the presence of incidents faster and more precise responses can be given, because in this way not only the protection of the business network is maintained but at the same time it is reduced with the influx of alerts, processes are reduced repetitive manuals and the scarcity of resources is avoided, which allows the incidents to be managed more effectively, that is, because it makes it possible to efficiently investigate alerts, understand them and also review them, in addition to that, thanks to its engine, workflows they can be automated and even integrated with other business tools.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Reports not very sustained but very attractive in a visual way, their updates can be somewhat tedious and merit more than the necessary time, so an improvement in this aspect would be vital to reduce the time of said process and thus be able to use said time in other activities.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Implementing this software is a good option as it helps to greatly reduce and mitigate incidents thanks to its functions granting the ability to reduce the response time to incidents, in addition to having the advantage of being able to run the software with other tools. making the workflow automated.
