What differentiates Fortinet Fortigate NGFW from other similar products?

This Fortinet Firewall platform differs from others because it has a very simple implementation and easy administration, it is responsible for inspecting the traffic on a large scale so that the tragic entering or leaving is only legitimate, it carries out large-scale inspections speed so that user experience is not affected, offers consolidated IPS without degrading performance to provide virtual patches so known and zero day attacks can be prevented, plus it performs fast transfer of large data sets called Elephant Flows.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I like best about this software is that it integrates easily with other Fortinet software such as FortiGuard and FortiSandbox powered by (AI), giving the advantage of protecting against known and zero day threats and improving operational efficiency through Integration with Fabric Management Center, which provides driven networks since it is thus possible to have high visibility of applications, threats and networks, also facilitates the management of security and its administration because it is located in a centralized console.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For beginner users, the configuration can be somewhat complex so it is ideal that technical knowledge be handled so that the process is more enjoyable, in addition to having reports and better visualizing the logs, the Fortianalyzer must be acquired, which is a separate device.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is important to analyze the characteristics beforehand and test the product so that you can detect if it really is what you need at the business level since its costs may be less accessible for small businesses, however because it is a solid and complete software when it comes to protection investment is worth it.
