What differentiates Flock from other similar products?
Not much. We chose Flock because it was very reasonably priced and provided features for task management and reminders along with the instant messaging. The one feature that they do have that is unique is the ability to set reminders for other team members. We really liked that feature so that all team members can get a reminder for tasks.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Flock is pretty easy to use and intuitive.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There have not been any updates or features added to flock. We have been users for years, but the lack of innovation has driven us away. Also, very soon after we subscribed to Flock, the cost for users doubled for new users. It created a billing nightmare to try to keep the licenses straight.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do your research. Flock has a free version that is serviceable. Be aware of how many channels are created. It can become overwhelming if they are not well organized and utilized. Also, use the notification settings so that you can make sure you get notifications from important channels and ignore messages from ones you really don't need to see that often.
