What differentiates Fivetran from other similar products?

Fivetran has a very hands-on approach to working with their clients that was supportive and benefited my implementation process. Along with this, they provide custom pricing based on my usage so I could keep my costs low while providing clean and organised data to my business.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favourite aspect of this product is the ability to breakdown an APIs endpoints and "pick 'n' choose" what I want or don't want to be inserted into my database.

What do you dislike most about this product?

At present, their dbt transformations capabilities. It has great potential and is a fantastic option for anyone that wants to continue transforming their data after it has been loaded. However, it requires a bit of know-how in that specific format and is tricky to debug without having continual support from the business.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend building a proper area for the dbt transformations on their platform. With an easy-to-use interface for customising how the data can be transformed and handled inside a database. Still give people the ability to perform the programming themselves but also have a simplified method too, much akin to their customisation options for data loading.

What differentiates Fivetran from other similar products?

Stability of the flows, and confiability of the data. Both are needed to be able to build anything trustable on top of the data.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The short amount of time needed to get real business value.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The billing system, it creates huge distortions, disagreements and problems on all the companies that implement Fivetran.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Expect no way of really knowing how much you will be paying, even from month to month that seems that should be fairly similar.
