What differentiates Document Locator from other similar products?

Combination of transmittals and document control.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Price, familiarity with windows, web facing portal.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It creates some instability in windows, primarily file manager and the ctrl c/v function

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The customer service is top notch and very responsive. The software is also very easy to customize to be specific to your needs.

What differentiates Document Locator from other similar products?

Speed of search, integration with common Windows apps, breadth of features at reasonable costs, unparalleled support staff.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The team at Columbiasoft - by far. But second favorite is the integration and context menus.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The relative complexities of installation and configuration on Day 1. Support team is great and gets you through quickly, but it's not a self-serve product initially.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Start with Day Zero implementation instead of waiting to bring in the backlog of documents. Use it, understand it, THEN pull in the old paper.
