What differentiates Dialpad Ai Communications from other similar products?
Central line of communication! I work in hospitality and we have a number of guests contacting us at any given time. We have tried using masked numbers in the past, but because they are forwarded to our cell phones, we would get calls at all hours of the night, even on holidays. We needed something uniform so that all guests could call the same number, but depending on the time of day or need, a different staff member could answer.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Central line of communication! Each license allows for a different phone number, however, we only use the main number for all texts and phone calls. This way guests know to only use that number for all communication, and any team member can answer when they are available. I love that internally, we can see which team member responded, and even for phone calls, the audio is transcribed, which is great! If there is a complaint or information was missed, we can always go back to the transcription to see what was missed.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Text notifications on the shared/mainline. There isn't any. Which is incredibly unfortunate. We strive to respond to all our guests in a timely manner, however, because of the lack of notifications for text messages on the main line, sometimes we miss them by hours. The staff has to manually open the mobile app several times a day to see if anything has come through.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make sure you have clear instructions when using the mainline and instruct staff to set it as their default if and when possible. One of my staff members has had trouble ensuring this and sometimes the calls and texts go to his line, rather than the main one. We have had several training sessions but since he does not use it frequently, he needs a constant reminder. Do not hesitate to reach out to their support staff! Their support staff is incredible and accommodating. The great thing is that if you need to ask for more information on a prior question, the prior conversation is still visible in the thread so the rep can easily see that.
