What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

Dashboards, synthetic monitoring, micro services monitoring, etc are creating a very powerful impact in monitoring that are supported by this product

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

ease of navigation between tabs and setup monitoring, customization of dashboards, are my favorites

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing I dislike about datadog

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Datadog provides 14days of trail period, which should be good enough to learn the features. Get the benefit of it

Much more than just logging

What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

Easy to use and implement. Vendor support is great

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I was impressed with the integrations part of DataDog. Our main goal was to centralize activity and audit logs of critical systems in our organization. We were able to integrate most of our systems in a matter of hours: JumpCloud, Gsuite, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Auth0 and more. The instructions were easy to follow, and an integration usually takes only a few minutes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Easy to use, but a bit pricey and the billing is just horrible. Log parsing could be improved. The logging format is not standard across machines when you have multiple devices with different OS. If you want standardization, you must set up pipelines to ingest and parse the logs, which I found a bit tedious.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ask the vendor for more Training/ learning videos.
