What differentiates D&B Hoovers from other similar products?
Hoover's database makes lead enrichment and searching very easy. Sales prospecting and leads dat enrichment gets better with the tool.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Database is very robust with a wide range of enterprises. Hoover's with Form fill implementation makes the conversions high.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes data is outdated and inaccurate. Also, for the form fill implementation, if the profile doesn't match their database the no results show up.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Great tool for sales prospecting and data enrichment.

What differentiates D&B Hoovers from other similar products?
Best tool on Earth to find out the information about the US private companies. I use Hoovers day-in & out in creating company profiles of our competitors and targeted clients. Provides readymade analysis and competitor details which is very helpful in creating strategic reports It also helps in providing quick information on the top executives or key decision-makers of the companies which is very helpful for the Sales & BD team in connecting to the right party rather than going in circles to get connected to the relevant party. Facilitates in uploading the information in CRM database.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Filter functionality is just superb. It creates a list of thousands of targeted clients in no time. Thus, it saves a significant amount of time & boosts employee productivity. Easy to integrate it with the Salesforce.com
What do you dislike most about this product?
Hoovers license management is not good as it requires the administrator to take up a seat or license to manage the users At times it brings out so many results of an executive sharing the same name which creates confusion. At times, I have witnessed that company changed its name after merger or due to its Leadership changed but info. was updated in Hoovers after 2-3 months. This lead to so many of my reports went wrong
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I can say it from my 10 years of experience of using Hoovers is - it is indeed a great tool to get right information on US Private companies but mostly information on Public companies is not updated in terms of revenue, number of employees, key executives etc. Most of the Big 4 Consulting firms such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC etc. guides their employees to use Hoovers to get info. on US private firms and use OneSource to get info. on US Public firms. If Hoovers start publishing updated info. on US Public firms it can surpass its closest competitor - One Source.
