What differentiates CrashPlan from other similar products?

We've been with CrashPlan for over 10 years and it's always been very reliable. No competitors have been able to provide enough to remove us our longstanding partnership with Code42. We've tried a few but they just seemed to be more "clunky"

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Deployment and management from an admin is so easy, awesome console that is easy to work with. backup and restore is simple yet perfectly effective.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The cost is always a bit frustrating to get passed each year when we renew, it is very expensive.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We used CrashPlan for 9 years on premise with our own hardware and just went with the Cloud, it was a great move and saves us so much with on prem time and infrastructure, go with their Cloud.

The navigation inside the app is a little bit annoying and not friendly.

if you don't want to worry about backups anymore, this is your product.

What differentiates CrashPlan from other similar products?

CrashPlan has a long history of building reliable and secure data backup systems. Their support team is one of the best I've dealt with, with true champions who are available to help with the most complex problems.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like how it integrates with multiple platforms including Apple. And I really value their support team's efforts to resolve any issue you may encounter in a helpful and efficient manner.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The admin console could use some bug fixes and a more user friendly interface

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're looking for a solid backup solution, Crashplan won't disappoint. You can count on a great client services team to implement and maintain your critical systems with peace of mind.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

Automated Backup Testing and Verification Goes beyond monitoring whether backup jobs completed by verifying the integrity of data restoration.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.
