What differentiates Coviant Diplomat Managed File Transfer from other similar products?
I reviewed several of the top MFT products prior to selecting Coviant. The visual nature of the interface and the no code/programming approach were very attractive to us, as we are a small IT shop with no developers in house.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to easily and quickly create file transfer processes with lots of options. It was the best product we found for doing heavy in-house file transfers and archiving, while still capable of encrypted file transfers.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are different versions of the product and our requirements meant we had to go with the Enterprise edition, which is the most costly option. There was also no price negotiation involved as there are with other vendors, the listed price was what we paid.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Look long and hard at the things the vendors stress on their website and their demos. Many of the competitors to Coviant are designed for high volume, encrypted transfers and have a difficult to learn interface. Coviant was easy to use, yet had the power of the competitors. See if you understand the concepts being shown in the videos and demos. If not, you may be looking at a product that is too complex for you to administer.
