What differentiates Commvault Cloud from other similar products?

My favorite feature of the app is that it supports many and multiple cloud providers, so you can easily backup data to any environment you want. At the same time, automating your business continuity instead of manually makes it easy to automate both in terms of business and automated. I can say that I like it very much. the application has integration with many different applications. the only negative thing I can say about the application is that it is a bit costly. but it pays for it. We use the application in a company that makes banking and payment systems.

the only negative thing I can say about the application is that it is a bit costly. but it pays for it. We use the application in a company that makes banking and payment systems. I think the initial installation of the application may be difficult for some to configure, I think it requires some experience. licensing costs will not be a problem for large-scale companies anyway. but I said that it is costly compared to others.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I shared my experiences, if you want a good beautiful application, if you are looking for quality work performance and if the cost side will not be too much of a problem for you, I would definitely recommend it.

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.

File Explorer Granular Restore Individual files can be located and restored from backup media without the need for full system mounting and restore.

Application Awareness Application consistent backup and granular restore for application data from core applications such as MS SQL, Oracle, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Integration With Storage Arrays Integrates with APIs from major storage vendors (NetApp, HP, Dell EMC) to leverage capabilities in these arrays such as data snapshots and replication.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.
