A device with VPN features built-in
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Cisco Meraki from other similar products?
The device's main advantage is that it can be managed via the internet. If the environment can connect to the Internet, the greatest advantage is the ability to monitor the equipment from any location if Meraki and VPN between sites can be easily configured. Meraki's web-based GUI is both user-friendly and feature-rich, so setting up a network is a snap. Routers, wireless access points, switches, and network components are all made by Meraki. In the vacuum, a Cisco Merkai gateway appears.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Given the ability to manage network management of other bases in the cloud, network management of other bases can be managed without advanced TI knowledge. In addition, anti-malware measures are in place, and security is maintained. We want to be able to easily control the Tokio/Nagoya/Osaka VPN servers as they are being put up. Even though I was gone, I was able to confirm the team's existence via the internet and through other means. Due to corporate constraints, multiple devices can conduct VPN across locations, however all but Meraki are banned when it comes to verification when departing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Other firms' products do some functions better (UTM, for example). In addition, because there is a portion in English, the location in Japanese is allowed.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Keep in mind that the equipment maintenance charge is also included in the licensing fee to prevent being caught off guard when the sticker price for the license fee appears. Not having an experienced TI administrator on hand. Finally, the management of the cloud has decreased working hours by removing the necessity of physically traveling to several places to set up a VPN. Meraki's proposition may be delivered internally by management with ease and has a strong reputation.
