What differentiates BigID from other similar products?

It is able to correlate data sources across multiple sources to provide a more complete picture of an individual's personal information Also provide capabilities to discover and protect data as per need

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It doesn't store any of the user's data

What do you dislike most about this product?

Bigid has issues with legacy systems and some latency related issues while doing discovery and classification.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ease of use Covered most if the data types hence best suited for most of the industries

What differentiates BigID from other similar products?

BigID stands out because it doesn’t just skim the surface—it digs deep into your data, even at the attribute level, whether it’s structured or unstructured. With AI and machine learning doing the heavy lifting, it makes classifying and understanding your data smarter and easier. It plays well with a wide range of cloud and enterprise tools, and its modular design means you can pick and choose the features you actually need. Most importantly, it brings privacy, security, and governance together in one place—making it easier to manage risk and stay compliant as you grow.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I love most about BigID is its ability to dive deep into your data, automatically scanning both structured and unstructured sources to find sensitive information. This level of insight really helps organizations keep track of data, stay compliant, and minimize risk. The AI-driven classification is quick, smart, and takes a lot of the manual work out of the equation. It’s like having an x-ray vision for your data, making it a valuable tool for anyone managing security or governance

What do you dislike most about this product?

One thing I don’t love about BigID is that, while it has a ton of powerful features, it can be a bit tricky to set up and configure—especially for teams that don’t have a lot of experience with data governance. The learning curve can be steep, and it takes some time to fully get the hang of the platform. Plus, with so many features, it can feel a little overwhelming at first for new users trying to navigate it all.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re thinking about using BigID, it’s important to plan ahead for the setup process, as it does have a bit of a learning curve, especially for teams new to data governance. Take the time to train your team and set things up properly to unlock its full potential. BigID integrates well with a lot of other platforms, so be sure to explore those connections to make the most of it. Start with key features like data discovery and privacy compliance, and then expand as you get more comfortable.
