Great promise, very poor execution.

Likeliness to Recommend

4 /10

What differentiates Betty Blocks from other similar products?

The promise of simple and easy building of apps with very limited technical knowledge compared to competitors platforms. But all this is years away.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The low-code core, and using it to very quickly prototype and validate internal software, to then actually build in something more capable. This core is actually very quick to use (after a steep learning curve).

What do you dislike most about this product?

The sky-high ambitions that lead to broken promises, the haphazard way of leading the company first this way then (throwing away months or even years of internal work) the other. The painfully amateurish features mixed in with really good ones, probably due to bad management.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for a quick prototyping tool, Betty Blocks is a good contender. If you buy into the citizen development thing and think you can run your entire business on the platform, think again or at least try to become very aware of the serious limitations.

Pros

  • Unique Features
  • Respectful
  • Helps Innovate
  • Trustworthy

Cons

  • Under Delivered
  • Less Performance Enhancing
  • Less Effective Service

Great product, but still in their first steps.

Likeliness to Recommend

7 /10

What differentiates Betty Blocks from other similar products?

I think their support is really great. This helps new users of the platform to quickly get a grasp of the features if they are stuck.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The no code aspect of Betty Blocks. Looking at the potential for these type of platforms and looking at the expected growth they will be making in the application market, I think platforms like Betty Blocks are going to be critical for IT consultants to understand.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is still a quite new product. This means that, in terms of features, they fall a bit behind market leaders. Currently, this is one of the downsides to implementing Betty Blocks.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Please carefully inspect if Betty Blocks has the features that are critical for your application. If this is the case, I think Betty Blocks could be a great fit with your organisation.

Pros

  • Caring
  • Respectful
  • Helps Innovate
  • Efficient Service

Cons

  • Commodity Features
  • Vendor's Interest First

Great product, easy to learn and easy to use.

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Betty Blocks from other similar products?

No-code vision. You can truly create applications without writing a single line of code. It serves business managers and IT staff both to become more effective and reducing the IT backlog.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the workflow engine and the webservice module for connecting with other applications. And the new Page Builder is great for creating perfect frontend applications

What do you dislike most about this product?

Huge amounts of data (1mio records plus) can be a problem. They are working on this part as I understood.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ask for a demo and contact a service partner to get the best experience.

  • Security Protects
  • Performance Enhancing
