What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

Barracuda Backup reduces the risk of data loss through innovative continuous data protection (CDP) that performs incremental forever protection of VMware virtual machines providing instant recovery direct from deduplicated storage, keeping recovery times and storage costs to a minimum

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Offers data immutability such that backup data cannot be overwritten, changed, or deleted outside of the required retention settings which reduces the risk of data loss

What do you dislike most about this product?

We can only access the business information from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection, which means, our protected data goes where we go, but without an internet connection it can't be accessed

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Barracuda Backup is a powerful data protection solution that is ready for any type of threat while remaining hassle free. With this hugely customizable service, you can have continuous or scheduled backups

What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

Barracuda backup makes it quick to restore backed up data. Efficient backups.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It takes the technical support less time to fix issues. They are awesome.

What do you dislike most about this product?

OS X backup is not user friendly. This software does not have an option to use external storage in order to increase backup storage.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This backup software because it is suitable for environments with multiple machines which require backup solutions.

What differentiates Barracuda Backup from other similar products?

is a backup platform that is easy to install and use on your network. Reporting features give you peace of mind knowing your backups are being taken care of.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

has a very well laid out interface makes all processes intuitive, Barracuda deduplication compression is really good help save space, Barracuda portal can be accessed from anywhere without configuring firewalls, makes Backups seamless complete or incremental quickly and safely.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The price seems too high, problems with downloading backed up files directly from the cloud.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

is ideal for medium to large businesses that want convenient control of their backups with the security of external storage

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Analytics Built-in real-time and historical reporting and analytics on SLAs, performance, and resource consumption, as well as predictive capabilities to plan & optimize.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Integration With Storage Arrays Integrates with APIs from major storage vendors (NetApp, HP, Dell EMC) to leverage capabilities in these arrays such as data snapshots and replication.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).
