What differentiates Axcient x360Recover from other similar products?
Axcient x360Recover is part of pax8 making it valuable to implement. The UI is very simple to navigate and understand.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ease of implementing and use. Other backup solutions can make you jump through hoops to setup, Axcient has a clean and streamlined UI to follow and setup. Should any problems come up anyone with basic knowledge would mostly be able to look at things in the portal.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The notification system needs improved. I'd like there to be a timeframe before an email is sent on a failed backup, sometimes a backup might be taking too long and because it is currently running the backup tracker shows no successful backup so it sends out an email as a ticket. That can be annoying because nothing failed it's literally still running and support told me that I can make a feature request but that isn't possible to setup yet.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I was on the fence after wanting to get away from Datto, I was between Veeam and Axcient. After looking at both I was really drawn to Axcient based on ease of use. I noticed some other tech talk about this and share their insights on both. I went with Axcient after seeing demos of it's UI. Similar to how easy Datto's is but I find Axcient's even easier. There is nothing worse than a clunky backup system to waste your time in. I plan to recommend Axcient to anyone who asks me for this reason.
