What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?

Terraform, ansible, chef

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

you have the option you write code in both YAML and JSON, and you have a choice of cloud formation linter which really helps you to code fast.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Cloudformation only works with AWS cloud whereas other options like terraform and ansible as cloud agnostic.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The product is excellent and you have lots of options to deploy which include deploying via console, pipeline, and AWS CLI. Cfn can deploy all the AWS resources including lambda functions, pipelines, roles and policies.

What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?

AWS does so many things with cloudformation. Every aws cloud engineer should know about it

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Infrastructure as code

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not easy to learn and need to have knowledge of the aws services

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Cloudformation is aws specific, if in future you can consider moving to another cloud provider then it will not be helpful

Other products can't offer much when it comes to integrating IOT resources and Infrastructure deployments.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Accessing infrastructure and able to deploy easily with all the necessary configurations is my favorite aspect.

What do you dislike most about this product?

UI could be improved a lot

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For solutions on AWS, consider deploying infrastructure using AWS Cloud Formation
