What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?

We did all our infra creation using aws cloudformation. Writing cloudformation yamls are very easy as they have got a very simple syntax & the templates are easily availble over aws docs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best aspect for aws cloudformation is write the code once & reuse the same code again & again with just referring to different values files. It saves lot of time when we try to spin up different environments.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not a dislike but aws cloudformation can only be used with AWS cloud not with any other cloud.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For infrastructure as code while working with aws cloud , it is. a strongly recommended service to use.

AWS CloudFormation is one of the most favorite products in aws because it provides infrastructure automation with easy steps.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

sometimes you just need drag and drop features in CloudFormation. very good in terms of automation.

What do you dislike most about this product?

the only disadvantage it is based on AWS resources only.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if you are using AWS for infrastructure or you need to automate a few tasks. go with CloudFormation.

What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?

Terraform, ansible, chef

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

you have the option you write code in both YAML and JSON, and you have a choice of cloud formation linter which really helps you to code fast.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Cloudformation only works with AWS cloud whereas other options like terraform and ansible as cloud agnostic.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The product is excellent and you have lots of options to deploy which include deploying via console, pipeline, and AWS CLI. Cfn can deploy all the AWS resources including lambda functions, pipelines, roles and policies.
