What is AutoCAD?

AutoCAD is computer-aided design (CAD) software that is used for precise 2D and 3D drafting, design, and modeling with solids, surfaces, mesh objects, documentation features, and more. It includes features to automate tasks and increase productivity such as comparing drawings, counting, adding objects, and creating tables. It also comes with seven industry-specific toolsets for electrical design, plant design, architecture layout drawings, mechanical design, 3D mapping, adding scanned images, and converting raster images. AutoCAD enables users to create, edit, and annotate drawings via desktop, web, and mobile devices.

Why AutoCAD?

What differentiates AutoCAD from other similar products?

It is one of the most commonly used applications in building. It is straightforward and straightforward. As a draftsman, you can rely on this application as your primary source of income.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I primarily use it for 2D drawings as a mechanical engineer. The best feature of AutoCAD is Layers; they make life much easier because you can draw a million lines on one layer and turn them off with a single click, making the CAD drawing easier to understand.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The worst thing about AutoCAD is that it does not detect clashes, which means that if you are making a duct layout and then decide to make a piping layout, they may intersect at some point without you realizing it. This problem is solved in Revit by generating a warning when something like this occurs.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Although AutoCAD is a powerful application, if you are a project engineer or an MEP engineer, I strongly recommend Revit over AutoCAD because it is the future.

What differentiates AutoCAD from other similar products?

AutoCAD has a breadth of features with no other software has in the same category, one can actually rely on the features when it comes to any mega or small projects. Another best part is it is widely used so easy to standardize.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The favorite aspect of the product is converting 2-D Drawing to 3-D Model with accuracy and precision.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is costly and the training also needs to be done for all the employees working at organization on the same

One of the most widely used product ehigc definitely helps in a lot of architecture, construction, machine drawings etc one should definitely go for it
