What differentiates Appium from other similar products?

Appium is free and open-source. Even "competitors" use Appium in their products (e.g., BrowserStack, SauceLabs, etc). Other tools like Ranorex have their own mobile solutions but require a lot of configuration and setup. Appium does most of the work for you.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Free, open-source, and widely supported!

What do you dislike most about this product?

Creating the Appium bridge on a computer can be intimidating and frustrating at first.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider using Appium in the test automation framework because it's free and widely used as the de-facto standard in mobile automation.

What differentiates Appium from other similar products?

Appium is having lot of unique feature some of the unique features are , 1> Mobile OS independent whether it is android or IOS. you can comfortably automate easily. 2> Appium is an open source platform. It is having an large helpful community. 3> It supports multiple programming language like java, python, ruby and lot more. 4> Compilation and modification of the application is not required each time during automation process. 5> Very highly active with new updates regularly with required features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Appium is very useful for mobile application testing and automation of test cases using scripting. Some of them are, 1>Very useful for searching Xpath for automation. Here it's easy to search Xpath, Class, ResourceId from appium. 2>You can use it across multiple platforms. 3>Capable enough to handle native, hybrid and mobile web applications. 4>Having an interactive user interface to assist in designing cases by previewing app screens is very helpful. 5>It's really easy to configure and use appium. 6>You can easily integrate it with your different IDE like Eclipse, Netbeans etc. 7>Inspector helps in identifying the elements easily.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Appium is a great product but some more feature and improvement can make it more better and effective in market. Some of the are like , 1> Execution time for iOS devices can be quite slow. This will likely be improved in the near future. 2> They Should Include Image comparison feature and side by side application comparison feature that going to be helpful 3> Support for windows application is not available, Adding this will be a plus point. 4> Version incompatibilities sometimes create issue while running automation script.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I will strongly recommend Appium it is a light weight and user friendly application for mobile web and native app testing. User can save own capabilities to ruse it in further similar kind of scenario. sows better console details to provide detailed information at each step of testing so that user can have better record of each case. You can easily integrate Appium with other tools. Whenever you will face any problem, You can get solution through Appium community which is very helpful and informative.
