fast and secure development/implementaton, API and external services communications

difficultness on learning, and starting, needs more instructor led teaching... PM debuging should be possible step by step...

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

save time to learn the basics, and learn it well, it will ease the migration

What differentiates Appian Low-Code Automation from other similar products?

It is really fast to build an application. It is very simple to debug process instances. The platform is very stable and always with the focus of simplicity, you get everything in one tool (integrations, process designer, deployments etc). It offers all the standard integration mechanisms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is so easy to monitor an environment and debug problems. Appian offers a very detailed process history with an easy to understand interface. It is also really fast to develop an application with Appian and reuse components. The Appian community works really well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The user interface is built using a proprietary language (SAIL) and if you dont want to use it then it is not so simple to use an alternative UI, but the interface has been improved a lot in the last releases.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is really much faster to build an app with Appian than with other BPM / lowcode platforms. The focus is simplicity and that makes a difference. I have used other BPM platforms and it took me much longer to implement a business process. Apart from that, the UI is very nice and the tool is very stable. Appian also allows rapid deployments and integrations with all the standard methodologies (continuous delivery, automated testing frameworks, etc)
