What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

Amazon EC2 is an exception in how it fits into the AWS ecosystem. Compatibility with popular AWS services rounds out the workflow and lets users take advantage of familiar tools with advanced capabilities courtesy of EC2.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part about Amazon EC2 is that it has taken a holistic approach toward cloud computing. Various instance types and configurations on the platform allow users to handle virtual servers within a single ecosystem without putting much manual effort into controlling them, hence improving efficiency.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The least-liked thing about Amazon EC2 is the fact that it has a steep learning curve and is quite complex. The extensive feature set of this service can be overwhelming to new users or smaller organizations without IT resources; large amounts of training and support are needed to use the system to its full potential.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're considering Amazon EC2, first consider the needs of your infrastructure, IT resources, and budget for your organization.
